OK - I know I shouldn’t wish time away, and I’m not really, but I am looking forwards to returning to Finca Del Alamo. We had such a wonderful time there this year, so it will be extra special going back. We’ve got a few spaces left, either single or shared ensuite, so why not join us for a week away to recharge, replenish and restore yourself?
I know that taking time away for self care can feel like quite a big challenge, and for many of the women who joined us this year, they really were stepping out of their comfort zones (I include myself there), but everyone was so pleased that they had risen to the challenge.
It really was wonderful to have delicious meals prepared for us every day, and that in itself was a real delight for us all, and to just feel like we were being looked after and cared for.
I’m running the retreat with Claire, who is taking the bookings - you can see her website here.
We are flying directly into Almeria to reduce the transfer time once in Spain to about 30 mins. I am flying from Manchester, with Jet2, and Claire is flying from Gatwick, with Easyjet, with our flights arriving an hour apart, so we can then arrange transportation from the airport. However, you are very welcome to extend your stay, and fly into another airport. We can email all the information if you’re interested.
Here are a few more photos of the Finca and surrounding area - feel free to get in touch to find out more when I am home from holiday !
A key element of a retreat is downtime, so we actively encourage you to take time out, join as many or few of the yoga sessions as you fancy, and really make the most of the opportunity to rest. This poem by Donna Ashworth sums it up -
RESTING IS DOING
If only we could see the power in rest.
If only we could attach to it, the worth it so deserves.
If only we could open our minds to the idea, that everything in nature has its time to rise and its time to descend.
That each of these acts is just a important as the other.
And that is exactly as it must be.
If only we could see the courage it takes to lay aside the worries, the fears and the comparison, just for a few hours, to let the mind, spirit and body come together again.
Doing the one thing they all require so much… nothing.
If only we could see the power in rest.
Because resting is very much doing.
